The championship matchups are set for the 2024 WIAA state baseball tournament in Grand Chute.
All four title games will be played Thursday on Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium.
De Pere and Sun Prairie East won their Division 1 semifinal games Wednesday, while Mosinee and Edgewood were victorious in Division 2.

Sun Prairie East beats Oak Creek to reach Division 1 title game
Sun Prairie East added to its cushion by scoring four runs in the top of the seventh inning to push the lead to 11-4 with three outs to get on defense.
The Cardinals had two hits in the inning and also took advantage of two errors, a wild pitch, a balk and one walk.
Oak Creek’s final inning of the season included a one-out walk by C.J. Trask and a two-out single to left field by Nathan Hanel before Nate Schopf struck out swinging to end the game.
Sun Prairie East improves to 27-4 and will play De Pere in the Division 1 championship game at 6 p.m. Thursday.
Oak Creek finishes the season with a 27-4 record.

Sun Prairie East scores five in sixth, takes lead on Oak Creek
The Cardinals finally ended the drought against Oak Creek pitcher Ryan Buchta in the top of the sixth.
Max Glusick led off the sixth with a triple to left-center, then he came home on a single to right field by Drew Kavanaugh. John Hadley followed with a double, sending pinch-runner Braydon Johnson to third base.
Isaac Wendler grounded out to shortstop for the first out, with Johnson scoring to make it 4-4 and Hadley advancing to third. Van Vogler then singled to center field to knock in Hadley and give the Cardinals a 5-4 lead.
Buchta was replaced on the mound by Cade Palkowski, with Austin Koberstein going to center field.
Manny Abreu greeted Palkowski with a fly ball to right-center and Koberstein tried to make a diving catch but came up short, resulting in a double for Abreu with Vogler advancing to third.
Gavin Meece grounded out to second base to drive in Vogler, then Cam Glusick reached on a throwing error by the Oak Creek shortstop to allow pinch runner Reed Saugstad to score.
Sam Ostrenga flew out to end the top half of the inning, but not before the Cardinals had scored five runs to go ahead 7-4.
Sun Prairie East went to the bullpen for the bottom of the sixth, with Joe Tamboli coming in to pitch for starter Brady Stelzer.
Oak Creek got a runner on with one out on an error, but Tamboli got the next two batters on fly outs to center field and right field to end the inning.

Jibben homers to give Oak Creek lead over Sun Prairie East
Oak Creek took the lead in the bottom half of the fifth inning. C.J. Trask walked with one out, then Payten Jibben hit a two-run home run to left-center field off the ribbon board above the fence. Initially there was confusion as to whether the ball went out, but it was eventually ruled a home run.
Sun Prairie East went down quickly in the top of the fifth inning on three groundouts.
Ryan Buchta, the Oak Creek pitcher, has retired 12 batters in a row and hasn’t allowed a hit since the first inning.

Knights, Cardinals remain tied through four innings
Sun Prairie East was retired in order in the top of the fourth inning by Oak Creek pitcher Ryan Buchta.
Buchta has allowed two hits, two runs, two walks and struck out four through four innings.
In the bottom of the fourth, Oak Creek got a one-out single from Mack Endres and then Brady Rickert walked but Gavin Zastrow grounded into a double play to end the threat.
Oak Creek has hit into three double plays in four innings.

Oak Creek, Sun Prairie East tied after three
Sun Prairie East scored two runs in the top of the first inning on sacrifice flies by Drew Kavanaugh and John Hadley after Sam Ostrenga singled up the middle and Max Glusick doubled down the left field line to start the inning.
Oak Creek got a run back in the bottom of the first when leadoff batter Cade Palkowski hit a solo home run to left-center field.
Oak Creek loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the third inning on hits by Brady Rickert and Palkowski and a walk to C.J. Trask.
Payten Jibben brought in the tying run with an RBI groundout, but that’s all the Knights could get and the game is tied 2-2.
There’s a lot of energy coming from the Oak Creek dugout. The whole bench is getting out of the dugout for high-fives every time the defense gets off the field. The buzz is definitely noticeable.

De Pere has defeated Westosha Central 8-1 in the first Division 1 semifinal game to advance to Thursday's championship game against either Oak Creek or Sun Prairie East.
Devin Weber struck out Bryce Backus for the final out of the game to send the Redbirds to the title game.

De Pere is three outs away from title game
Westosha Central got a runner on base in the top of the sixth on a one-out error, but that was it for the Falcons.
Pinch-hitter Trenton Kriewaldt drew a walk to lead off the bottom of the sixth for De Pere. Pinch-runner Brett Weckwerth then advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Axel Donaldson. Mason Sequin followed and lined the ball over the head of the third baseman for a single to score Weckwerth and give De Pere a 5-1 lead.
Easton Arendt followed with a fly ball to right-center that dropped in for a double, with Sequin advancing to third base.
Westosha Central made a pitching change – bringing in Anthony Sirocchi – and Landon Raygo was intentionally walked to load the bases.
Javin Gauthier came up and dropped a perfect bunt up the first base line. Gauthier was safe at first, Sequin scored easily from third and Arendt raced around from second base to also score on the bunt to give De Pere a 7-1 lead. Milo Upton followed with a hard grounder up the middle for a single to score another run and make it 8-1.

Westosha Central threatened in the top of the fifth inning but couldn’t score.
Max Nottingham was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning, then with one out Bryce Backus doubled to right-center to put runners on second and third.
De Pere pitcher Axel Donaldson buckled down and got Carson Sieler on a pop up to short and then retired Mason Mitacek on a lazy fly ball to right field to end the inning.
Donaldson has thrown 80 pitches through five innings.
De Pere went down 1-2-3 in the bottom of the fifth, including two ground ball outs to third base.

Westosha Central got a one-out walk in the top of the fourth inning, but that’s all.
The Falcons went to the bullpen for the bottom of the fourth inning and brought in Max Nottingham to pitch. Lucas Koskey greeted Nottingham with an opposite field line drive to the corner in right field for a standup triple. After a foul out to first base, De Pere starting pitcher Axel Donaldson helped his own cause with an RBI single to center field to give the Redbirds a 3-1 lead. Mason Sequin followed with a ground single past third base to put runners on first and second.
Easton Arendt popped out in foul territory near third base for the second out. Landon Raygo, the No. 4 hitter in the De Pere lineup, then hit a bouncer into left field to score courtesy runner Brett Weckwerth and give De Pere a 4-1 lead.

Westosha Central was retired in order in the top of the third by De Pere pitcher Axel Donaldson.
In the bottom half, De Pere loaded the bases with two outs on a walk, a hit batter and another walk. But Westosha Central pitcher Joe Suokko got Jake Weckwerth to ground out to second base to end the threat.

Westosha Central got on the board with a run in the top of the second.
Charlie Dietz led off with a single and stole second base. With two outs, Max Nottingham bounced a grounder into center field to score Dietz.
De Pere got a runner on second base with one out in the bottom of the second inning, but Westosha Central pitcher Joe Suokko got a fly out to left field and a grounder to third with a nice play from third baseman Bryce Backus to end the inning.
De Pere starter Axel Donaldson has thrown 29 pitches in two innings. Suokko has thrown 37.

De Pere jumps out to 2-0 lead over Westosha Central
The first Division 1 semifinal between Westosha Central and De Pere started about 15 minutes ahead of schedule as WIAA officials are trying to move things along with the threat of rain coming later in the night.
After Westosha Central went down 1-2-3 in the top of the first inning, De Pere jumped on Westosha Central in the bottom half.
Axel Donaldson led off with an infield single to shortstop and advanced to second on a throwing error on the play. Mason Sequin then bunted and he reached base when the throw to first pulled the first baseman off the bag, with courtesy runner Brett Weckwerth advancing to third. Easton Arendt then sent a long drive down the right-field line that one-hopped the wall, scoring Weckwerth and Sequin and sending Arendt to third with a triple.
Arendt was stranded at third as the next three batters were retired, but the Redbirds lead 2-0 after one.

Mosinee, in its seventh trip to the state tournament, won its first state tournament game after going 0-6 in its previous six state tournament contests.

La Crosse Logan put two runners on base in the top of the sixth, but Mosinee reliever Zachary Nechuta struck out Preston Elston to end the inning.
Mosinee starter Garrett Shupe finished the game with 103 pitches before leaving with two outs in the sixth.
Mosinee got a two-out single from Gavin Obremski in the bottom of the sixth.

Mosinee pushes lead to 8-1
The Rangers went down in order in the top of the fifth inning on six pitches. Mosinee starter Garrett Shupe has retired six batters in a row and nine of the last 10.
Mosinee added a run in the bottom of the inning. Carter Fandrey walked with one out, then Benjamin Schlei doubled to the gap in left-center to score Fandrey from first. It was the third hit and fourth RBI of the game for Schlei.

Keagen Jirschele led off the bottom of the fourth by drawing a four-pitch walk and went to second on a balk. After a ground out, Gavin Obremski singled to center to score Jirschele and push Mosinee’s lead to 7-1.

La Crosse Logan put two runners on base to open the third inning, but Mosinee pitcher Garrett Shupe retired the next three batters.
Mosinee scored twice in the bottom of the third to push its lead to 6-1.
A double to left field by Brady Lokken and a hit batter put two runners on with no outs. Lokken and Cameron Ziebell pulled off a double steal to get to second and third. After a strikeout, Benjamin Schlei singled up the middle through a drawn-in infield to score both runners to make it 6-1.

Mosinee scores four in second to take control
Mosinee scored four runs in the bottom of the second inning to take a 4-1 lead.
La Crosse Logan put two runners on base in the top of the second on back-to-back walks with one out, but Mosinee pitcher Garrett Shupe struck out the next two batters to end the threat.
Shupe has walked three and struck out four in two innings. He has thrown 42 pitches. The Logan batters are struggling to catch up with Shupe’s fastball when he is in the strike zone.
Mosinee took control in the bottom of the second. Cameron Ziebell led off with a single and went to second on a sacrifice bunt. Benjamin Schlei followed with a single to right-center to score Ziebell to make it 1-1. Elliot Yirkovsky then singled to right to put runners on first and second. Grant Kuklinski walked to load the bases for Keagen Jirschele, who singled to center to bring home Schlei and Yirkovsky to make it 3-1.
Taylor Lemanski was then hit by a pitch to load the bases, bringing up No. 3 hitter Gavin Obremski.
Mosinee added a fourth run when Obremski grounded out to second base to score Kuklinski, but Jirschele was thrown out trying to score from second on the play for an inning-ending double play.

La Crosse Logan scores in first to take early lead
La Crosse Logan scored a run in the top of the first inning to go ahead 1-0.
The Rangers put two runners on base to start the inning on a walk to Johnny Leaver, then a bunt single by Kobe Szafran and a throwing error to put runners on first and third with no outs.
Mosinee starter Garrett Shupe struck out the next two batters, but with Tyler Rumsey at the plate Szafran broke for second. Mosinee got Szafran in a rundown and tagged him out, but Leaver was able to score from third before the final out was recorded.
Mosinee got a leadoff double down the left-field line by Keagen Jirschele in the bottom of the first. After a strikeout, Gavin Obremski reached on a bouncer back to the mound but Jirschele was thrown out in a rundown between second and third for the second out. Brady Lokken then popped out to second base for the third out.

Edgewood holds on to beat Kettle Moraine Lutheran
Edgewood got a runner on base to start the top of the seventh inning on a passed ball after a swinging third strike, but Brett Biondich struck out the next two batters and then got a nifty sprawling catch from shortstop Adam Zylka in short left field to end the inning.
Steffen Mello came in to pitch the bottom of the seventh for Edgewood, protecting a one-run lead.
Sam Ehlke was retired on a pop up to second base. Jackson Wallin then grounded out to shortstop for the second out. Landon Hagenow kept alive the Chargers’ hopes with a two-out double into the gap in left-center, then cleanup hitter Brett Biondich walked on four pitches.
Jackson Kobylarczyk was next and fell behind 0-2. After a ball, he fouled off a pitch and took another ball just off the outside corner to make the count 2-2. Kobylarczyk then grounded to short, with Edgewood shortstop Preston Yaucher tossing to second for the force out to end the game.

Edgewood leads by one heading to seventh inning
Edgewood added to its lead with a run in the top of the sixth inning.
Steffen Mello led off with a double to right-center and pinch-runner Holden Port advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt. Davis Halbleib followed with a single to score Mello for a 4-2 lead.
Kettle Moraine Lutheran got a run back in the bottom of the inning.
The Chargers got a leadoff single from Jackson Kobylarczyk and then a double off the wall in left field by Adam Zylka put runners on second and third with no outs. Carson Rau then sent another deep fly ball to left field that was caught at the warning track, but Kobylarczyk scored from third and Zylka advanced to third just ahead of the relay throw.
Senate Schmidt was retired on the first pitch of his at-bat on a shallow fly ball to right field for the second out, with Zylka staying at third.
Edgewood third baseman Carson Jesberger then preserved the lead for the Crusaders when he lunged to his right to stab a grounder by Zach Kneser, and from his knees he threw a perfect throw to first to retire Kneser for the final out.

Edgewood regains lead on sacrifice fly
Edgewood put runners on first and third with one out in the top of the fifth on a walk, a sacrifice bunt and a single to center field by Jack Halloran.
Bennett Cagle, who homered in the third inning, then brought home courtesy runner Chet Kramer with a fly ball to center field to put Edgewood back on top 3-2.
An error that would have been the third out extended the inning, but Edgewood cleanup batter Seth Myers popped out to second base to end the threat.
Kettle Moraine Lutheran was retired in order in the bottom of the inning, including a nice leaping catch by Edgewood shortstop Preston Yaucher for the first out.

Chargers pull even, but miss chance for big inning
Kettle Moraine Lutheran tied the game in the bottom of the fourth inning but could have scored more.
Jackson Kobylarczyk walked to lead off the inning, then Adam Zylka dropped a perfect bunt down the third base line for a hit and Edgewood catcher Bennett Cagle threw the ball over the head of first baseman Seth Myers, allowing Kobylarczyk to advance to third with no outs. Carson Rau then bounced a grounder just past the outstretched glove of Myers for a single to score Kobylarczyk to tie the game 2-2.
A wild pitch with Senate Schmidt at the plate moved Zylka to third and Rau to second, giving KML two runners in scoring position with no outs.
Schmidt popped up to shortstop for the first out. Pinch-hitter William Kempfert then blooped a fly ball into foul territory and Myers made a nice catch over his shoulder, turned and made a perfect throw home to keep Zylka at third base. Sam Ehlke then struck out to end the threat with no further runs.

Cagle goes deep for Crusaders; KML scores on error
Bennett Cagle, the No. 2 hitter in the Edgewood lineup, gave the Crusaders a 2-0 lead in the top of the third inning with a one-out home run over the wall in left-center field near the scoreboard.
It was the fourth home run of the season for Cagle and the seventh for Edgewood.
The Chargers got a one-out single in the bottom of the third from Sam Ehlke that deflected off the glove of diving shortstop Preston Yaucher. Jackson Wallin then drew a four-pitch walk. Landon Hagenow flew out to right field for the second out.
With Brett Biondich batting, Edgewood pitcher Henry Bishop tried to pick off Wallin at first base and threw the ball past first baseman Seth Meyers, allowing Ehlke to easily score from third and Wallin to race to third. Bishop had thrown over to first two other times before the error.
Biondich struck out to end the inning.

Edgewood plated one run in the top of the second inning and leads 1-0.
Seth Myers led off with a walk, then after an out Henry Bishop sent a long fly ball over the head of the center fielder to the warning track for a double. Myers, who was running on the pitch, easily scored from first and Bishop advanced to third on an overthrow to the plate.
Kettle Moraine Lutheran put two runners on base in the bottom of the second inning with a walk and a single to left field by Carson Rau, but a ground ball to third base ended the inning.
