Who is CoryxKenshin? Where he disappeared? Wiki Bio
CoryxKenshin – real name Cory DeVante Williams – was born in Detroit, Michigan USA on 9 November 1992, so his zodiac sign is Scorpio and he holds American nationality. Cory is a YouTuber, comedian, vlogger, and a charity fundraiser, best known for his gaming YouTube channel. Although Cory promised to come back a month later, he hasn’t been seen using his channel since July 2019.
Early life and education
Cory was raised in Detroit by his father Anthony K. Williams Jr. who is working at the Ford Motor Company, and his mother who is a housewife. Cory grew up alongside his younger sister named Aleya, and younger brother called Anthony.

He attended a local high school in Detroit, and after matriculating, enrolled at Michigan State University in East Lansing in 2010, where he studied media arts for two years before moving to the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor where he spent four years studying computer science and game development. However, after coming close to obtaining his degree, Cory left college to focus on his career on YouTube. Cory’s family is very religious, and reads the Bible, often putting its verses at the end of the videos he uploads onto YouTube. Because he is religious, he doesn’t curse or swear neither in his videos nor in real life.
Career as a YouTuber
Cory launched his career on 26 April 2009 when he created his YouTube channel which today counts more than 5.2 million subscribers and over 2.2 billion views combined of all his videos. In his Bio section, Cory has written ‘Just trying to live in God’s image. I also play video games. Hopefully my videos can make some people a little happier.’
He upload his first video on 25 May 2009 when he was 16 years old, and in which he talks about dating, girls, and the movie “Hitch” which stars Will Smith who helps men woo the women of their dreams, before being discovered by a local newspapers who ruin his business.
At the very start of his career, Cory was mostly a vlogger, creating videos of his everyday life, including how he spent his days at high school and later at university. When he got a bit better at editing videos, he improved his own, and also started helping his friends with their videos occasionally receiving money for his work.
He was posting a video or two per week which has always been the same, and then went on his first break from YouTube for around a year and a half, from November 2011 to April 2013. He did this again on 16 February 2016 coming back to his channel on 30 April, apologizing for leaving his fans, and then stopped uploading videos again on 16 January 2018 which lasted four months this time.
His most recent video was uploaded on 12 June 2019, and it is uncertain whether or not he is planning to resume his career on YouTube. He uploaded his first gaming video in October 2013 covering the “White Finger” short survival horror video game. After that, he created a series of videos about the “Super Punch Out” sports video game, and over the years made a lot of friends on the platform, while a user named TwistedFalcon helped Cory become verified on YouTube. Cory’s current most popular video is “FNAF DUBSTEP G-DASH LEVEL!? YES PLS. | Geometry Dash (2.0)” which has been viewed nearly 7.5 million times since it was uploaded on 15 October 2015.
Cory’s first goal was to reach 700,000 subscribers which is something he achieved in July 2016 – his one millionth subscriber signed up on 19 November 2016. Cory’s main inspiration for creating videos at the beginning was Natalie Duran, better known by her nickname NDTitanLady who besides being a YouTuber, is a professional rock climber and a fitness model. Cory is good friends with many YouTubers including “BangBangBrandon”, “LordMinion777”, and “Muyskerm”.
Personal life and relationships
In May 2017 Cory moved to live in South Lyon, Michigan, after buying a house for $415,000, which has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and is 2,705 square feet large.
He is living with his dog whom he named Samson the Savage, and who is often featured in his videos – he took Sam in on 3 May 2016, actually Cory’s first pet.
Cory has Ectodermal Dysplasia, which is a rare genetic disorder he inherited from his father, resulting in Cory having 24 teeth instead of normal 32, and which also makes it almost impossible for Cory to have hair on his body. Cory has kept his love life away from the media’s attention, and he hasn’t talked about any girls he may have dated over the years. Some of his fans teased him about being gay, to which Cory responded that he only prefers to keep his personal matters to himself. He currently appears to be single, hasn’t married and doesn’t have kids.
Hobbies and other interests
Cory is interested in charity work, and has volunteered and donated to many organizations, while he is mostly focused on collaborating with Charity: Water organization, which has a goal of providing clean and safe drinking water to people in Africa. He’s also a big lover of animals, and has donated notable sums of money to animal shelters – he’s created several fundraising videos. Cory was very active while at high school as he played basketball and football, and as he was taller than most kids in high school, it was believed he would eventually become a professional basketball player.
He enjoys watching films in his spare time, with his favorite actor and actress being Bruce Willis and Emma Stone, and their movies “Die Hard” and “Pulp Fiction” (Bruce) and “The Amazing Spider-Man” and “Birdman” (Emma). He enjoys playing games which is both his job and a hobby, and spends most of his time in front of his computer screen creating videos and editing them.
